Аннотация. В роботі розглядається історія розвитку інституту прав людини від виникнення поняття «права людини» на території Стародавнього Світу до початку ХХІ ст. Особлива увага приділена розвитку прав людини в Новий час, боротьбі за їх законодавче закріплення під час буржуазних революцій та закріплення основоположних прав у основних нормативних актах революційної доби.

Abstract. Annotation. This paper reviews history of the development of the Institute of Human Rights since the emergence of the concept of "human rights"on the territory of Ancient World till the beginning of the XXI c. Particular attention is paid to the development of human rights in Modern Times,the fighting for their legislative confirmation during the bourgeois revolutions and the consolidation of fundamental rights in the basic regulations of the Revolutionary Era.
